Student Guide (Ages 13+)
This is a short guide to help you understand how Study Klocka uses your information. For full details, please read the Study Klocka Privacy Notice.
What information do we use?
Study Klocka only collects information needed to provide your account and study/focus features. This may include your email address, optional Preferred Name, subjects, term dates, study/focus time, and information used to create your logs, reports and dashboard.
Is my study information private?
Yes. Your Study Klocka information is private by default. We do not automatically send your study/focus information to your parent, tutor, school or anyone else.
Can I share my study logs?
Yes. You can choose to email selected study/focus logs for a period to someone, such as a parent or tutor. You choose the email address and start each sharing action yourself. This sharing is not automatic or recurring.
Can a parent, tutor or school help set up my account?
Yes. A parent, tutor or school may help create or configure your account and may initially have the account details. You should change a temporary password when you take control of the account. After you change it, they do not automatically continue to have access unless you choose to give them access.
Do we advertise to you or sell your information?
No. Study Klocka does not use your study information for targeted advertising and does not sell or rent your personal information.
Does Study Klocka score or judge me?
No. Study Klocka does not score you as a good or poor student or label you as productive or unproductive. Your reports show factual information such as your study/focus time and subject activity.
Does AI use my information?
No. Study Klocka does not currently send your personal information or study/focus records to ChatGPT, OpenAI or another AI provider.
Does Study Klocka track my location?
Study Klocka does not use GPS to track your precise location. An IP address may be used for limited technical purposes, including working out the correct timezone or UTC offset for your study times.
Can I stop a focus session?
Yes. You can pause or stop your focus session, take a break or leave. Study Klocka does not use points, badges, streaks or competitive scores designed to pressure you to keep studying.
What are my privacy rights?
You have privacy rights over your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete your information. Other data-protection rights may also apply.
